Our best selling Hibiscus tea is now available
in bottles as well as packages.
This tea is more than a thirst-quenching brew!
Although Laza Catering does not claim any specific health benefits for Hibiscus tea, Hibiscus tea has been well known in traditional medicine for many years. Hibiscus tea is made from the dried calyces of the hibiscus flower. The Calyces themselves are known to contain high levels of antioxidants and, for good health, antioxidants are an essential part of our diet. They help to rid our bodies of free radicals (destructive molecules that can damage our cells and DNA) and protect us against chronic disease, such as heart disease, rheumatoid arthritis, diabetes and cancer.
We know that dietary changes are an effective way to help manage high BP, and hibiscus tea has also been reported to have a lowering effect on high blood pressure. If this is the case, it is a natural, risk-free, and tasty way to put these changes in motion. Studies have shown that drinking as little as 2 to 3 cups of hibiscus tea each day can lower your BP levels, working as effectively as some anti-hypertensive prescription medications (without the potential side effects).
You may enjoy the short video on the right! Nutrition scientist Dr. Diane McKay discusses her research about hibiscus tea benefits and research findings that consuming hibiscus tea regularly can reduce blood pressure levels:
Have you tried hibiscus tea yet? This herbal tea is so delicious and flavorful that it will win you over even without considering its health benefits…
Now that you know more about the potential benefits of hibiscus tea, and how it is reported to be so very good for your health, you’ll enjoy it even more! Plus, hibiscus tea can be prepared and served in so many different ways, you’ll never tire of this versatile tea! Be sure to add it to your tea stash.
